I have read several articles that discuss this same topic…
but the conclusions drawn and suggestions offered by the other authors don’t really go into any sort of detail on WHY they concluded and suggested the way they did.
For that reason, I decided to write up my own thoughts regarding ‘turning a WordPress powered website into a website and not a blog’.

Website UpdatesI didn't get to where I am now with using WordPress, designing my own WordPress themes, and navigating the world of blogging all by myself.
I had some help along the way and so here's to the people, services, and even places who/that have made helped to make all of this possible:
EMG's RMX:
Black and white and grayscale. High contrast with the grayscale symbolizing the height of creativity. Touches of curves amongst all the angles and straight lines. No-nonsense blocks of content that stand out and make themselves known to be what they are. A few splashes of color to bring out life but not overwhelm. Function and form existing in harmony.
And because I’ve got a bit of dirt in me and because I come as I am, there’s the alleyway grunge, too – the concrete wall and the layered ‘graffiti’ art in the header – mixed in with a bit of post-apocalyptic pop culture.
