EMG: EMG’s RMX
EMG: EMG’s RMX is a two-columned, flexible/fluid-width (shrinks and expands to fit different screen resolutions) custom WordPress theme that has been built and designed using Strict XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0 coding and has been rigorously tested to be cross-browser compatible for Firefox 2.0+, Internet Explorer 7.0+*, Safari 3+, and Opera 9.5+.
If there was anything to be said about this particular theme, I would say that it is a reflection of the kind of person that I am and is an accurate representation of my own personal tastes when it comes to design.
Thus, EMG’s RMX – a relation to my Enigmatic FLEX theme (which is still being worked on) – is, quite literally, my own personal remixed theme.
Black and white and grayscale. High contrast with the grayscale symbolizing the height of creativity. Touches of curves amongst all the angles and straight lines. No-nonsense blocks of content that stand out and make themselves known to be what they are. A few splashes of color to bring out life but not overwhelm. Function and form existing in harmony.
And because I’ve got a bit of dirt in me and because I come as I am, there’s the alleyway grunge, too – the concrete wall and the layered ‘graffiti’ art in the header – mixed in with a bit of post-apocalyptic pop culture.
For more information on the design process of this theme, please visit my Code and Design page on my main site.
Note: Internet Explorer 6.0 (sometimes 7.0 and even 8.0) and below is well known for its inconsistencies with rendering W3C valid coding. If this theme is viewed using IE 6.0, certain oddities will become apparent such as the blueish backgrounds for some of the images and the lack of margin/spacing between the footer and the bottom of the page. For a more proper view of this website, please consider upgrading your browser to 7.0 or better or switching to a better, more stable, and more W3C Standards-compliant browser.
